Pride parade has been the most eminent event for LGBT+ community and their allies. We can frequently catch some of them were brought their children to pride parade in order to shifting the child’s mind about love is love. Moreover, the parents are teaching their minors to be more willing for accepting whatever identity as a part of being open. I do think the way that they said “open” or inclusive for any layers of person, it is kind of leading in psychical terms rather than open minded. Somebody would argue the core reason they were advocating to bring child onto pride parade is for entertaining children in order to become more respectful for minority whether in ethnicity, sexuality, religion perspective in such a young age. However, pride parade has many controversies within the parents’ side because they are valuing the high morality and traditional marriage.
The concerning part about the parade from parents is the inappropriate dresses people wore such as kink, drag queen with vulgar costume, gay men merely covered by underwear. It is legitimate for parents who have concerned for avoiding the sexual content inside the event and should not have labelled as homophobic person. Beside of that, LGBT+ people aware of the vulgarism in their event and some of them were saying implicitly it would be better for parents to not bring their children. Most of the time LGBT+ folks are standing against the inherent sexuality in the parade since it is not represented the whole community, but they considered hindered the progressivity in their own community. Furthermore, conservatives in LGBT+ were suggesting the idea of including successful LGBT+ people to pride parade in order to show the world they merely regular individual with different sexual preferences and it will not be ceasing them to gain their own successful. Therefore, nowadays pride parade has been more interpreting nude content and sexual attraction rather than showing people how can they contribute in our society. It has been enacted in our mind that gay is inherently about sex rather than love and it has been continuing for a decade. As we have expected from far-left side, they were denying the whole idea regarding the bar of appropriate in pride parade because it showed the freedom of expressing themselves. However, pride parade has also had bunch of beefs with conservatives and religious side.
America is more opening with LGBT+ ideologist and being one of the countries where freedom of speech is being upheld. Despite being 25th safety country for LGBT+ community in 2023, America has also well-known with the most majority of them are Christians. It will be contrast movement between each of them especially when they were debating pride parade for children. Many of them were talking about the destruction of traditional family construct. Thereby, we can find on pride parade some of the Christians and Pastors were preaching towards LGBT+ community on pride parade. However, not every Christians in America are against pride parade like Evangelical Christians do. Progressive Christians are supporting the acceptance movement such as pride parade in order to teach children the diversity of human and God is loving every single human on this earth regardless of their sexuality. Beside of that, pride parade has been growing and accepting kind of bizarre sexual preferences as well recently.
As a result, it is unnecessarily for children engage with diverse and complex people in sexual preferences terms. Pride parade should not have exhibited the types of people who are concerning for children. Therefore, some people in the part of community need to altering the pride parade to become more appropriate for any ages if their main goals is the acceptance from society. It can be inviting the inspiring, influencing, or successful figures from LGBT+ community.
LGBT+ community is carrying many letters day by day regardless of the weirdness of the preferences. Pride parade was also showing irregulates sexual preferences in the middle of city; Thereby, parents and pedestrians cannot prevent them for seeing those people or pretend to not see. People will be called homophobic or other labels for accusing anti-LGBT+ if someone was criticizing those types of sexual orientation. Furry is one of the parts of LGBT+ community who seemed obviously odd because there is inherent engagement with animals or in particular most of them are dogs. It did not feel right when children were petting the head of adult whom dresses and acts such as dog. Especially when they were trying to combine kink and furry in one look. If children cannot have consent to watch pornography, then what are the reasons to allow children to watch and enjoy pride parade since those people were explicitly showed them inappropriate appearance and movement. The community cannot expect the whole society for being nice towards them if they could not capable to dress nicely in the first place. Those people whom dressed as animal, kink, half naked in order to express themselves can exhibit their own orientation towards people who have similar interest as them behind the closed door.
