Elon Musk’s Nazi Salute Excuses

    Elon Musk, a billionaire who welly-known as the owner of Tesla and SpaceX as well as the person who has been promoting Donald Trump’s campaign through social media or in particular on X. He has been in politic in recent years and his involvement has been creating skeptical view regarding his goal in American politics. During Donald Trump’s inauguration, Elon Musk was posing a gesture which people are considered it as Nazi salute. Even though the gesture was being showed whilst simultaneously saying “my heart goes out to you”, audiences especially democratic supporters and commentators are being cynical regarding Elon Musk’s message. Nonetheless, republican side was adamantly defending Elon Musk with several excuse such as interpreting his gesture as Roman salute, he merely expressed sense of pride, and even considering his act as autism. A Jewish person in favor of Donald Trump has also taken Elon Musk’s Nazi salute slightly.

     Holocaust as one of the most extreme and horrific discrimination in Europe has been given people a sense of realization; Thereby, now, for anybody who is posturing Nazi salute-like will be handled firmly. However, how can Holocaust survivors or even their descendants make what Elon Musk has been showed slide. An enormous red flag was being exhibited throughout news and television, but it did not cost anything because Elon Musk has been into Israel and due to his billionaire title. Israel is not a bare minimum to deem whether a person an ally for Jewish people or not since Israel’s prime minister himself was quoting Hitler. So does his billionaire title, the world would be in total chaos if people like that were not being taken seriously and put them into responsibility. Back to Europe, Elon Musk has as well been attended far-right AfD (Alternative for Germany)rally  and he was saying “It is okay to be proud to be German […] I think there is like frankly too much of a focus on past guilt and we need to move beyond that. Children should not be guilty of the sins of their parents, let alone their parents, their great greatparents maybe even.”, 2 possibilities need to think of, it is either Elon Musk genuinely wants German to become prouder of their nationality since Germany’s past is irrelevant for current generation or he implicitly said German should not be guilty of their ancestors because their great greatparents did not do anything wrong. Therefore, German can be German back in Nazi era if they want to. Despite Elon Musk cheering and endorsing foreign political party, people are adamantly backing Elon Musk by saying he has autism and he was merely expressing pride.

    Autism is also one of the excuses created from Elon Musk’s pioneers in order to deny the allegation of Elon Musk posturing Nazi salute. People are looking at Musk as innocent nor fragile children with autism, but in real life he is also the same person who is trying to extract money from every single way possible till no drop left. People can argue whether he has autism or not, but best belief he was aware of what he was doing in inauguration. Autism also cannot be barrier for justifying the gesture which reminded people about disastrous event in human history. People with autism themselves are rarely showed their pride and 'my heart goes heart to you' by doing Nazi salute-like. If Elon Musk has autism, we should not have taken Elon Musk’s tweet seriously such as the existence of woke mind virus. Nevertheless, other justification beside autism such as Roman salute will make people doubting Elon Musk was doing Nazi salute due to autism.

    Roman salute or in modern times is well known as fascists salute has been an exit way for Elon Musk’s action in inauguration. Elon Musk as a grown adult should have known his current position in politic especially for a person whose being praise by people on earth because of his contribution in science field. He must be consciously realized the gesture he was about to do is mimicking Nazi salute. He knows the repercussion. The outcome of Elon Musk excuses as well is, people will not be hiding their hands again to show Nazi salute since people like Elon Musk can get away from it. Even with pastor and regular mom with her kid are bandwagon as if a trend. Let alone neo-Nazi in current era, they are might be celebrating the openness of people because what Elon Musk has been done.

    Gradually, we might be seen the rise of fascism due to the ignorance people have since they are defending Elon Musk’s action with thick barrier consisted of excuses. Roman salute, sense of pride, and autism can justify enormous red flag in front of audiences’ eyes. Jewish people should have the sense of awareness of Musk since they have been constantly made the argument of Holocaust to defend genocide in Gaza. The real threat for their existence is in front of their face, not the people who are wearing keffiyeh and children who throw stones toward gigantic military tank. In spite of misinterpretation of the real danger for Jewish people, German should be more caution for what Elon Musk trying to reach in Germany politics. Frankly, he wants to interfere Germany politics by endorsing AfD on his social media platform. Nonetheless, the outcome of defending Elon Musk Nazi salute will simply create a massive explosion of people doing the salute and neo-Nazi will not be shy anymore to show their own faces in front of public if people take off their guards because of the creation of excuses for shielding Elon Musk.
